FSC森林認(rèn)證，又叫木材認(rèn)證，是一種運(yùn)用市場機(jī)制來促進(jìn)森林可持續(xù)經(jīng)營，實(shí)現(xiàn)生態(tài)、社會和經(jīng)濟(jì)目標(biāo)的工具。FSC森林認(rèn)證包括森林經(jīng)營認(rèn)證(Forest Management,FM)和產(chǎn)銷監(jiān)管鏈認(rèn)證(Chain of Custody,COC)。
森林經(jīng)營的認(rèn)證，也稱森林可持續(xù)經(jīng)營認(rèn)證或簡稱FSC森林認(rèn)證，它是針對森林經(jīng)營單位，由獨(dú)立的第三方FSC森林認(rèn)證機(jī)構(gòu)根據(jù)所制定的森林經(jīng)營標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，按照公認(rèn)的原則和標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，對森林經(jīng)營績效進(jìn)行審核，以證明其達(dá)到可持續(xù)經(jīng)營的要求的過程。
